Educators continue to develop their leadership and instructional skills in virtual sessions throughout the year

School-Year 2024–25 Course Offerings

During the school year, we offer virtual professional learning sessions to help your educators in Opportunity Culture® roles succeed, timed to address topics and needs as they are likely to arise throughout the year. We provide professional learning sessions for school leaders, new and experienced teacher-leaders, and paraprofessional new to the Reach Associate™ role.

Distributed Leadership for School Leaders

Overview: Enhance your effectiveness with this comprehensive series designed for principals and school leaders using distributed leadership in school staffing. This comprehensive five-part series equips school leaders with the essential skills and knowledge to guide and support their teams effectively.

Cost: $1,250 for full learning series

Duration: 8 hours of live, virtual training, plus an additional, self-paced end-of-year review session. Sessions occur between September 2024 – Spring 2025.

Who Should Attend: Principals and school leaders in schools using Opportunity Culture® roles.

Essential Skills for Beginning Teacher-Leaders

Overview: This five-part series equips new teacher-leaders with the essential skills and knowledge to excel, focusing on observation and feedback, data-driven instruction, and time management.

Cost: $1.250 for full learning series

Duration: 8 hours of live, virtual training, plus one session credited to the school leader. Sessions occur bi-monthly from September 2024 – April 2025.

Continuing Your Teacher-Leader Journey: Advanced Skills (Year 2+)

Overview: This series is designed for teacher-leaders with at least one year of experience looking to refine their coaching expertise and deepen their understanding of instructional leadership.

Cost: $1,250 for full learning series

Duration: 10 hours of live, virtual training. Sessions occur every other month from September 2024 – April 2025.

Who Should Attend: Experienced teacher-leaders with prior coaching experience.

Foundational Skills for Reach Associate™ Success

Overview: Empower yourself as a new Reach Associate™ paraprofessional with this comprehensive series designed to set you up for success. This four-part series equips paraprofessionals with the foundational skills and knowledge to thrive in their roles, focusing on building relationships with students, data-driven instruction, advocacy, and how to reflect on the first year to set goals for the next.

Cost: $1,250 for full learning series

Duration: 8 hours of live, virtual training. Sessions occur every other month from September 2024 – April 2025.

Who Should Attend: New Reach Associate™ (RA™) paraprofessionals.

Master the SIMPLE-TC™ Framework: Effective Small-Group Instruction for All Students

Overview: This five-part series guides educators through the SIMPLE-TC™ framework for creating a tutoring culture, empowering them to create effective small-group instruction that reaches all students and is provided by all available adults within the school.

Cost:  $225 per session  

Duration: Each session is 2 hours of live, virtual training. Sessions occur monthly from September 2024 – February 2025.

Who Should Attend: Team leaders and school leaders interested in implementing or enhancing small-group instruction and tutoring programs.

Office Hours: Collaborative Learning and Reflection for Opportunity Culture® Educators

Overview: Deepen your understanding and implementation of Opportunity Culture® practices through collaborative office hours designed for ongoing support and professional growth. These virtual office hours provide a safe space for leaders and educators to connect, discuss trends, share reflections, and learn from one another. These spaces are separated by educator role.

Cost: $99 per session

Duration: Each session is 1 hour of live, virtual interaction. Sessions are offered in October, December, March, and May.

Who Should Attend: Leaders and educators in schools implementing Opportunity Culture® models.
